A fantastic place to stay. Great location and amazing hosts. The communication was fantastic. Any questions I had were answered right away. The suite is perfectly located around shops and restaurants. There’s no other place we would have rather stayed for our first visit to Malta.

I would recommend booking Martins’ place. We stayed for a week and the place was clean and updated, while still keeping the heritage feel.
Martin was a great host – communication and QR codes made the stay very easy. He also checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.
The view of the harbour was what sold me on this booking. It was wonderful waking up every morning and enjoying my coffee outside with the view of the harbour. The location was also perfect and everything we needed was within walking distance, including the ferry.

Loved staying there. Was a great place to come home and chill. The hosts regularly checked in with me and I felt safe as a solo traveler. Best part was not having to worry about carrying around a key.

This was our fourth visit to Malta. The last three times we stayed in a 5 star hotel in Slima so we have been used to nice surroundings.
This visit, we decided to stay in Valletta and as it was at short notice, we decided to see if we could find an apartment so searched online platforms. This is when we found Martins’ apartment and booked it.
When we arrived, we were amazed at the views from outside the apartment. When we got in, we were very surprised at the quality of the refurbishment of the apartment. Exposed stone, well equipped very nicely furnished.
The air conditioning was a very welcome extra in the July heat and the apartment had a lovely feel to it.
On a practical level, there is everything you could want supplied. You could cook a full meal here with no problem. There is a washing machine. A good sized fridge. There are cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery provided so allows you to be as independent as you wish.
The bed is very comfortable.
All of the electrics are modern 3 pin type so no need for plug adapters (from a UK point of view).
Martin has even provided QR Codes around the apartment which link to instruction manuals for the various appliances (which I have never seen before).
As for convenience of location, when we checked out, we timed how long it took to get to the main high street and then onto the main bus terminal. 3 minutes to the high street and 9 minutes to the bus terminal (and this was with our luggage and we are both the wrong side of 50!). The Valletta Food Market was less than 5 minutes away and has a fantastic supermarket that has everything you could want.
And as if all of this convenience wasn’t enough, it’s lovely and quiet!
On the subject of the host, Martin was simply fantastic. Before we left the UK he began communication and every query we had was answered completely and promptly. Everything you could hope from a host.
For us, if we were able to write a script of all of the important points of a holiday, Martin has read it and fulfilled it.
Finally, and this for us was the most important thing, we grew to feel that this was a home from home in Malta.
I cannot think of a single reason for ever looking for a hotel again after staying here.
My biggest hope is that the next time we go to Malta (and we most definitely will) that this apartment is available.
