THE SPACE: This quaint and recently restored studio accomodation comes with all you need to fulfil our credo at Savynomad: Work Smart – Play Hard – Rest Easy. In a relatively small space you have a foldable working desk that doubles as a working desk with blazing speed internet access, wired ethernet, USB charging points and universal socket that keep you productive: Ideal for Digital Nomads. A cooking space equipped with espresso machine, toaster, kettle, microwave oven, plates and cutlery and refridgerator with freezer compartment. A sink is available next to the kitchenette but within the bathroom. The bathroom also includes a good size shower and hair dryer. The bedroom comes with single mattress memory foam bed and air conditioning and wardrobe with drawers. All this within genuine Maltese heritage setting. A perfect stay for a single traveller or professional. The best thing to do at Savynomad is to wake up to the spectacular sunrise, grab an espresso from the kitchen and enjoy.

GUEST ACCESS: Cove is set in the idyllic pedestrian Battery Street with easy low steps which the Grand Masters of Malta used with their horses to reach their headquarters nearby at Auberge de Castille. The accomodation is easily accessible by car from St Anthony Street (Triq Sant Anton). Free non-metered street parking lies around the corner. During weekdays between 8am and 3pm, parking in the vicinity can be a challenge .

DETAILS TO NOTE: Experience living in a typical traditional Maltese house in Valletta. Due to the way these were built hundreds of years ago, some ceilings can be a bit low. That’s because of the handcrafted Maltese ceiling slabs and wooden beams which create that cosy feeling to it. Floor to Ceiling slabs: 2.2 metres. Floor to Wooden beams: 2 metres.

This home is a restored historic 500 year old building that shows the traditional Maltese architecture and the beauty of the exposed Maltese stone. Also due to the porous nature of Maltese globigerina limestone , the honey-coloured stone walls especially in the bathroom tend to flake a little. Through the stay expect to see some tiny flakes here and there. It’s part of the experience of living in an authentic Maltese property in Valletta.

NEIGHBOURHOOD: Typical Maltese neighborhood. Lovely helpful people and the bustle of Valletta is only a stone’s throw away. The street is a lovely typical Valletta pedestrian stepped street made from Maltese zonqor, so you get the best of both worlds. This small apartment is literally sitting on top of a Valletta bastion with breathtaking harbour views. Just round the corner you will find lovely bars and restaurants. There is unmetered street parking spaces within a few metres from the accomodation. The place has its own washer-dryer but there is also self-service laundry nearby as well as luggage holding facilities at City Gate. A lovely rocky beach is also available within walking distance.

GETTING AROUND: You don’t need a car if you are staying here. You can easily walk to all of the many restaurants, bars, nightclubs, entertainment spots. All the Valletta cultural and historic centres are within 5 to 15 minute walking distance. The central bus station to reach any location in Malta is only a 5 minute walk away. Quiet but central.

A well equipped kitchen inclusive of washer-dryer for longer term accomodation, espresso machine, toaster, microwave and oven, hob, ironing facilities, air conditioning, high pressure shower, double bed, plush 2-person sofa, 43 inch TV with the possibility to access your Netflix subscription and other channels, etc. Plus your reading nook to sit back and watch the world go by: people, ships, cars, cruiseliners and boats. OTHER NOTABLE DETAILS: The property has just been completely refurbished but all the original heritage features have been kept and painstakingly restored. Beautiful stone arches. Lovely honey-coloured Maltese limestone. Although at street level the accomodation offers good privacy with double glazing in windows and reflective glass.
