We loved this lovely apartment. Fantastic Location: close to restaurants, shops, and historical sights. View from the large windows: loved watching sunrise over the harbor, incoming ships, and the lights of the three cities at night. Ambience: the stone walls, arched ceiling, and gorgeous tile floor make this historic home a wonderful way to experience history in Malta. Comfort: the apartment has everything needed – comfortable bed, appliances with QR codes for operating directions, nice shower, and TV with Netflix. Accessible hosts: Martin responded quickly to all requests and provided suggestions to make our stay more pleasant. Malta is a great vacation destination and Valletta is a wonderful place to stay. We had a perfect vacation.

My partner and I wanted a special break away in Malta. He has been to Malta dozens of times and this was my first trip. The accommodation was absolutely beautiful and in a stunning location. Unlike anywhere either of us have been before. It was calm and away from the main areas, yet still just a stones throw away from a fun evening out. We honestly couldn’t fault anything. Thoughtful instructions and very, very thorough and proactive communication. All the little extras were so carefully considered. Thank you for providing us with exactly the break that we both needed! The accommodation was really well thought out and fully equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, so we never felt like we were missing anything. Instructions were provided via QR codes for pretty much everything, including clear guidance on how to use the air conditioning and washing machine, which made settling in really easy. A lovely added touch was the safety rail leading down to the hot tub area, which made it feel secure (especially after a few beers!).
Nearby activities
The location is fantastic. You’re just a stone’s throw from everything — shops, restaurants, and plenty of places to explore. We particularly loved being close to the famous Saluting Battery — watching the cannons was such a fun and unique experience, and you can even see the smoke from the accommodation. We were also lucky enough to catch what felt like a huge private fireworks display from the front door one evening — a very cool unexpected bonus and a real highlight of the trip.
Safety
Valletta is quite hilly, but due to the property’s location, it’s very manageable. Parking was surprisingly easy and much more straightforward than in the UK, especially if you have a smaller car.

The area felt safe and easy to walk around, with everything close by.
Food & drinks
There are loads of beautiful pubs, cafés, and restaurants nearby — genuinely something for every taste. Whether you want something casual or a bit more special, you don’t have to go far at all. It was a great place to try Maltese food. I particularly enjoyed trying the rabbit and all that delicious cheese! Thankfully there was loads of space in the fridge, which made that very easy.

The overall experience felt like a true luxury getaway. Between the location, the thoughtful amenities, and those unexpected moments, it really stood out as somewhere special to stay.
How lucky was I finding this gem of an apartment… Newly refurbished to a high standard, but still retains it’s original character and charm and is spotlessly clean…. It has a modern fully fitted kitchen and all the utensils you you’ll need. Situated on a quiet street with must be the best view in Valletta overlooking the Harbour….. But still close to all amenities and restaurants to suits all tastes… From here I could view the colossal cruise ships arriving at first light, fishermen with their catch of the day or the many water taxis criss crossing the harbour, which are only a few minutes walk away. And as the name suggest it comes with its own cave with your own private jacuzzi, which was amazing. Much appreciated after a day’s sight seeing…. Over the years I have stayed in some amazing properties and hotels, but this must be the most unique… HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We had a wonderful stay at Wave 24. The location is fantastic – right on the harbour in Valletta, near Upper Barrakka Gardens. The whole city is walkable right from the apartment, including many restaurants, bars and tourist attrations. There’s also easy access to the Gozo Fast Ferry and the boats that take you accross to the Three Cities. The apartment itself is lovely, very comfortable, peaceful and private. The spa in the cave is incredible and a great way to relax after a long day out and about exploring. A great stay and we would definitely stay again if we come back to Malta.

“I had a great stay here. The apartment is cosy and well finished. The location in Valletta couldn’t be any better. The view is really great and the apartment has pleasant old features (like the stone walls, tiled floor and wooden ceiling beams). The apartment is quiet and cool (with good AC too). Krizia and Martin were friendly and provided enough information throughout.
I’d say this apartment is best suited to solo travellers or people looking to work from home, away from home. I wouldn’t suggest it for couples since the bed is only a single. Also, the apartment isn’t for those who wish to do lots of cooking, but there are some really great eating spots very close by. It was perfect for me and was exactly as I had anticipated!

“Unique place. Got as part of a surprise trip for my wife. She loved it. The view took her breath away. After walking all over Valletta and taking the ferry both north and south, we believe we could not have stayed at a better location. It was quiet and felt very safe, while still only a minute away from life and music, coffee shops and restaurants. “Great Place. Very good location a 5 min walk from the centre of Valletta and all the bars and restaurants. Is very clean and professionally looked after. The bathroom is modern, clean and easy to use and all the towels, bedding etc were clean.
We really liked that everything was very well thought through – we arrived very late but it was easy to check in as the door is operated by a PIN keycode, so no need to pick up keys. There is a washer and a dryer that is easy to use + an iron and ironing board. Wifi is fast and the TV has netflix.
There is an *amazing* view out over the harbour and towards the 3 cities. I assumed from looking at the photos that we’d be on a really high floor and would have to carry our suitcases up a lot of stairs – this is NOT the case, it’s effectively a ground floor apartment. So you get the view but no need to go up and down lots of stairs.”

Had a great stay and would recommend to others. The studio flat was nicely decorated, well maintained, clean and in a great location. We enjoyed sitting outside with a bottle of wine admiring the view of the three cities. We also hired a car and were able to park it directly outside. The host provided information well in advance of the trip including videos of how to open the door, use the washing machine, etc which made it easy to self check in and use the facilities.
